Alconbury Charity Cricket Match 2012
The Dame Norma Major Annual Charity Cricket Match will be held this year on Friday 6th July 2012, gates open from 12.00 midday. The teams for this year's event will be The Bunbury Cricket Club and Dame Norma Major's XI, captained by her son James and the match starts at 2.30pm. The Bunbury Cricket Club (www.bunburycricket.com) led by David English CBE, is the world’s most famous Celebrity Cricket Club. The maverick team fields legendary cricketers such as Eric Clapton, Elton John, Ian Botham, Phil Collins, Ian Wright, Sam Fox, Joanna Lumley, Rory Bremner, Jamie Theakston, The Bee Gees, Andy Flintoff & Gary Lineker. Huntingdon Mencap has provided care and support to people with learning disabilities for more than 20 years, Branching Out/Huntingdon has been established since September 2003. Dame Norma Major officially opened the centre in June 2004.
